Natch or Satch?!

Whether you're a natural blonde or a saturated mermaid we have got you covered. Today in salon we've been seeing a lot of mixed styles and we love celebrating diversity. Especially in hair!

On the Left we have one of Kirstys clients who travelled here all the way from Manchester. When she arrived in salon she needed a bit of a top up on her roots but nothing to uniform and basic. Kirsty has done Taras before and has a master at beautiful free hand highlight technique which she loves. The pros of a this visual technique is it works incredible for an seamless blend among many others giving it a flawless finish.

On the Right we have one of Takisha clients who wasn't to shy is wanting bold and saturated colour to brighten up this time of year. Before she came in her hair was blonde but grown out from not colouring her hair for sometime. She wanted to be bold and purple was the perfect shade to ignite her personality and flatter her skin tone. With details of a darker root this colour is perfect for adding a sass factor to your image much like Roxanne wanted.

Both of these Super Stylists work in our Lowergoat lane salon, to book in with them give us a call on 01603 761176

Maple trees and Autumnal breeze.

Freshening up your look never needs to be a bad thing especially when you're cutting off old colour and dead ends! Thats exactly what Kirsty's client wanted when coming in on Friday and she was more than happy to help! When Beth came in to see Kirsty on Friday she was wanting a change but nothing to drastic and something fresh for the new season. Kirsty worked her magic and softly coloured her hair to a soft autumn brunette and created a beautiful long tousled bob that bounces and flows just hitting Beths shoulders.

Kirsty works at our Lowergoat lane salon from Tuesday to Saturday to book in with her give us a call on 01603 761176!

Urban Natural

That natural texture forecasting in fashion weeks all over the world and Alexa Chung making a comeback as a style icon (did she ever go away really) the natural look is in and we are noticing it becoming ever so popular. Today Kirsty embraced minimal heat styling using her diffuser and textures sprays to give her clients that undone look.  This look is perfectly paired with a collarbone midi bob so your hair bounces on the shoulders.. Is this your autumn/winter style?

Kirsty works in our Lowergoat Lane from Tuesday to Saturday and is also a MCE colourist in salon. To book in with her give us a call on 01603 761176

It doesn't have to be boring!

Growing your hair out doesn't need to be a struggle, it can be fun and on trend.

When Hope first started coming to the salon her hair hair was long but opted for the chop when she modelled for our recent collection 'Our House'. Now she's growing out her locks and having regular trims to keep her edges neat, she has a whole lot more texture and style to play with. From a kept crop to native waves there is no boundaries when you get a little bit of length.

Don't chase the sun.

The sun is setting earlier now, and you can't get those natural holiday highlight by hanging out at the beach anymore.. But don't let that stop you! This week in Salon we've seen a lot of sunlit highlights and natural lightening techniques shine through as a big request.

Katie (left) Had her hair done with Chloe today and wanted sunlit highlights with a contrast darker tone. Using a free-hand Balayage technique Chloe lifted and contrasted multiple tones to give Katie the definition she wanted with a beautiful organic palette.

Also Beth (right) was in the salon last week with technician Naomi to get her root stretch brought higher. We all know that a bit of root definition is hot right now and lifting a your grown out blonde a few inches higher is great way to maintain your style. Both colours worked with natural tones of cools, brunettes and golds to give a more kissed finish.

Natural highlights don't need to come from a holiday and you can definitely fake it with a great technician at hand. To book in with Chloe or Naomi give our Lowergoat Lane salon a call on 01603 761176.

Salons combined!

So today we've been seeing different styled by both salons.
We ventured down to our lovely Magdalen street salon and snapped a beautiful shot of Louises client Tracy, she had her hair coloured today to a autumnal auburn with the seasonal change happening right now we are finding it a perfected transitional shade.

On the flipside in our Lowergoat lane salon, we saw a juxtaposition to the Louise as Amber worked with natural curl on shorter hair. Her client Daisy wanted something easy to handle that had a cool edge, a side part it was as it works great on short styles and is an awesome way to add definition and interest too!

Diffusing the fuss!

When you have a natural curl, sometimes it's best just to rock it!

This week in the salon we've had quite a lot of style changes as the summer season comes to an end.  What we are forecasting for autumn is a burst of embracing your natural hair, if it's kinky, curly or just a little bit crazy the undone style is shining through for the staple of style. A great way to control this is to prime the hair with a great product when wet and let it air dry or diffuse it to enhance your natural texture.

Embracing the Organic

We've been focusing a lot on colour and the introduction of the amazing Olaplex in salon this week but we've also had some beautiful clients in the salon who haven't coloured their hair at all!

A lot  of girls have hair goals; Thick, glossy, long, beautiful hair! And we love making and creating these goals happen for our clients! On the left Paul's client had a haircut and rocked a curled glossy finish and on the right Ambers hair rocked a more matte tousled style with a split fringe. Both looks look awesome with their natural hair colour shining through so we pose the question.. is it time to go back to natural tones for fall?

(If you've coloured your hair and want a colour correction to go back to natural we can do that too.)

Timeless | Trendless

Within' hairdressing a lot of focus is put on cool trends and the avant garde.. But our clients are speaking a different language.

This week in the salon we have seen a lot of beautifully natural colours that empower a more understated essence of beauty. With inspirations of organic Catalonian sunlights and effortless pure Nordic blondes, the salon has embraced it's subtle and minimal element of colour which is classic and fresh!

(Colour on the Left is a natural Balyage by Paul Standen-May & Right is a cool tone seamless highlight by Takisha Rial using Wella Professional)
