Mixing your palette.

As a salon we know that being blonde is a popular thing but it can drag you down when it just gets a bit to light. For Pauls client Debrah this was exactly the thing and she needed a change to bring her hair back to life with a touch of added sass. Paul worked with a foiling technique to break up Debrahs existing blondes with a mixture of soft brunettes and blondes to create a multi-tonal palette to compliment her skin tone and bring a soft visual texture to her locks. Mixing up your palette with multiple colours is a great way to tone down your colour and make it softer and also works as a great tall to introduce complimentary tones.

If you're feeling like you might need to break up with your over lightened hair? Come see us for a complimentary consultation so we can advise you on what would work wonders with your image. Paul works in our Lowergoat Lane salon so to book to see him give us a cheeky phone call on 01603 761176 to know his availability.

The short life.

Short hair doesn't have simplistic and you can actually do a lot with it. It can be feminine, it can be masculine, it can be androgynous so whether it's from a pixie to a tight crop you can be beautiful!

On the left we have one of Ambers clients who normally comes in with Fran, Rocking her blonde hair with a super short crop looks absolutely incredible. With an awesome blonde edge that screams Agyness Deyn when she was short, this look is full of character and style!

On the right we have Jazzy, she's come back to work at The Egg part time and is forever up for change (and if you follow us closely you will already know it!) She wanted to lift her hair and infuse her copper hair with lot's of different organic earthy tones. This technique of great for adding multiple tones to short hair is a great way visually texture a hairstyle.

Amber and Paul both work in our Lowergoat Lane salon so to book in with them give us a call on 01603 761176

Back to Natch.

Colour corrections are a great way to get back to natural but by no means does that mean your hair has to be a flat shade.

When Pauls client came into the salon her hair had been cleansed twice to try and remove a black colour that was previously applied.. After these services her hair was left with intense banding and was beaming an intense raw orange so she decided to book a consultation with Paul at The Egg. After a session with Paul Standen-May her hair was transformed into a lovely highlighted natural brunette that was multi-tonal and beautiful. The possibilities with hair are endless and having a colour correction doesn't mean you have to have an all over flat brown!
