Texture and Structure!

As hairdressers cutting is one of the things that shines as part of our skill set  Last week in salon Amber had a beautiful client in who wanted a style that is perfectly balanced in texture and structure. A great hair cut should contain a healthy mix of both and that is exactly what Amber mastered. On her client (featured above) she worked with a strong structure to the haircut focusing on the silhouette.

 After that was sharp and accented with a fringe she worked on detailing the style adding texture to complete the style. Free handing a soft layer to compliment that tousled style and texturising the fringe was just the right amount of detail to finish the haircut,

Long bobs are the perfect style for winter weather as they look incredible with a beautiful thick knit scarf and give a lovely parisian chic look to your style.

Anderz Mum has got it going on'

We love a blogger in salon especially Helen Anderz.. She gave us a call last week with an amazing project she was working on, The mummy makeover and we were more than happy to get on board. Directors Callum and Paul Standen-May were both very excited in taking Sues hair from drab to fab with a fresh new colour and cut. Paul opted to soften around the face optimising Sues skin tone and softening the overall look.. With the cut Callum decided the length had to go and a complimentary Bob was the best point of call to compliment her face shape and fringe. Instead of finishing Sues hair blunt and heavy, Callum opted for a soft layer throughout the hair to eccentuate the soft, feminine and textured look and she was fully transformed!

Let's be blunt!

Straight or Curly we've been noticing a trend form in salon in the last few weeks... What is it you ask? It's the Nordic bob of course and it's potentially this months most requested style that had in salon! It's a great versatile style which can be rocked from the top of the jawline to your collarbones and still looks fantastic! We've named it 'Nordic bob' because we've been seeing a lot of clients want that 'Norwegian blonde' colour to match this style but it would definitely work with a soft ombré or even darker hair too! So whether it's blonde or dark..  Are you ready to take the plunge and have the chop of the season?

Shaping up for the cold weather.

Sometimes it takes a change in weather to realise you want a change in hair too! 

Pippa was exactly that client when she came to see Callum Standen-May on Saturday for her hair cut. When she arrived in salon her hair was just below collar bones and not really one style or another, after her consultation with Callum her new length and fringe were decided and there was no going back! After her hour appointment her hair was transformed and her new complimentary length and fringe were here to stay!

Chopping it off for charity.

We've had an amazing transformation in salon today by Paul Standen-May! His client Melanie booked in last week to have all of her hair cut off for charity which we absolutely love! She decided to donate her hair that she has been growing for 10 year to the Little Princess Trust which is a charity dedicated to making wigs for children  who have been through cancer treatment. Not only is this such a beautiful thing to do we also think Melanie looks absolutely beautiful with her new hair style.

Time for change?!

Now everyone loves long hair but sometimes you need a change. Even though most girls love to grow their hair out that wasn't the case for Naomi's client this week. When Nadine came into salon she was so tired of having long hair because she couldn't do anything with it. After a consultation on deciding what her new length would be, Naomi cut and styled a long bob with a detailed fringe to suit her client. Nadine absolutely loves it and we think it looks incredible too!
