Our Magdalen Street Salon!

Oh jeez, Have we been inactive on this blog? So why not update it and share some of our thoughts, feelings and hair work from us here at The Egg salons.

First stop, lets introduce you guys to our Magdalen Street salon, It doesn't get a lot of attention on social media but that's all about to change as we intend on bringing a more rounded view on everything that goes on behind the pearly doors of our salons.

The literal outside

So lets start here, The outside of the salon, situated on Magdalen street in Norwich, this is a prime spot for having your hair done outside of the hustle & bustle of the city centre. It's surrounded by quaint vintage shops, the emporium that is LOOSES for all of your secondhand and up-cycled homewares and just a short walk to the art school!

Great reception

When entering the salon you will walk into the first floor, the reception this is much like any salon, the waiting area. Here is where you will be offered a drink prior to your hair appointment, This is a hotspot for people watching (if you're into that) as our large windows gaze out onto the street.

On your way up you will notice all of the bizarre and intriguing photos on the walls, why you may ask? Why the hell not! We decided on this decor to work with the salons layout, The building itself is a 16th century build and it has a very homely layout so we decided to work with this and not against it and have a family portrait feel to vamp up the walls!

Lounging at home

Now come on in and take a seat on our second floor salon space (we have a first floor too) This is where the magic happens! Set out much like the rest of our salon this space is designed to feel homely with books on the shelves and a lovely seating area to chill out whilst your colour develops. This area has a calming colour palette which you will see runs all the way through the salon with lovely pops of Yellow to brighten your day!
